I even had my roommate give it a try, and she is so not into racing games either, and now she asks me every other day or so if she can play GT7 in VR. It really did feel like I was driving a car, and the increased depth perception and being able to look around more intuitively for spatial awareness was one of those, "You have to see this to believe it" type of moments.

To the point where I literally went out and bought a wheel so I could play with it! I still need to try the wheel with PSVR2 (I recently moved, so I don't have anything other than my TV and PS5 set up), but even playing GT7 in VR with the Dual Sense controller was game changing for me.

I prefer RPGs and action/adventure games, but damn, is there something addicting in GT7. Both flat screen, and especially in PSVR2. I know I'm late to this discussion, but I will say this, as a non-racing game person GT7 is amazing. I loved Rush of Blood but Im in no hurry to get the new game if its got all sorts of issues right now. I hear good things about Synth Riders, so will grab that since its on sale, was gonna get the new Supermassive on rails light gun game but it sounds like it needs a few patches at the moment. RE8 is jaw dropping, but something like Tetris, Runner or Kayak have their own charm as well. Its really hard to pick a favourite in terms of PSVR2 so far. but its so damn good thanks to the VR implementation and the soundtrack - its simple yet so darn effective. Its a really gorgeous game that is a joy to play, its almost an on rails shooter but the extra control you get really helps it stand out. Game just clicks in place nicely once I got over the different mechanics at play. I gave the a few completed stages another shot and managed to scrounge up S ranks on them, which Im super pleased with. doesn't change the fact that after GT7 this is my most played and enjoyed game of the launch lineup :-DĬlick to shrink.Noted, will try and give them another try when I get the chance. A lot of the locations with the black level present, it makes it look like an LCD display. Light Brigade on the other hand looks like they did no changes and ported it straight over without taking into account the display it was meant for. Song in the Smoke devs talked about how they had to redo all the colours for the PSVR2 due to the HDR panels. I can't believe this is what it's supposed to look like. The hub area and vendor areas when on a run look great. Oddly this is not consistent between areas. The black levels are raised which makes every colour rather washed out. I might be wrong, but I am almost certain that something is off with the colour space. My only real criticism with the game is that it is rather low res when looking at edges - I look forward to the foveated rendering patch. Don't know what the upper limit is but after having stacked the same card three times, it was positively flying around my wrist. You still only have one blue card (or whatever colour it is) but if you stack it, it circles faster round your wrist than the other ones. But if you activate the same card later on, the way it it shows that they are stacking is quite clever. When you activate a tarot card, a mini version of it will be circling your left wrist constantly. A nice little detail in Light Brigade which I only just noticed (after 15 hours with the game).
